A Birthday Facelift
When I look at these pictures of my face, I am shocked and embarrassed. As the years go by, gravity takes it toll often without us even realizing it, both on the face and the body. Inch by inch, we can gain weight unaware, and little by little I found myself in an unhealthy weight range–and some 35 pounds over weight!
In 2012-15, it was my good fortune to work with Author Julia Loggins as her publishing coach on her both her books, Dare to Detoxify and It Takes Guts to Be Happy! These books cover Julia’s phenomenal body of work with the intent to reclaim the gut health millions of Americans have lost. Helping her to edit, publish, and promote her book, I learned about the concept of gut health from a master. In 2014 and 2015, by applying the principles based on Julia’s book called It Takes Guts to Be Happy!, my daughter and I transformed our eating habits with a focus on gut health instead of calories. We continue on this path which has become a permanent life style change for both of us!
My Skin Paid the Price
With weight loss my body looks beautiful, and feels light and energetic. Practicing yoga three times a week, my body movement is flexible and subtle once again. But I had paid a price with my skin. What do I mean by that? With my weight down to college weight, my belly did not go flat, although it had been flat at that weight–plus I had developed jowels over time! Ugh! I didn’t realize it until I saw these photos!
Read on to learn how I stumbled onto a new technology–both doable and affordable for non-invasive face lifts! Recently I visited Get Nailed! and during a pedicure, happened to witness owner Elise Whithall and assistant using a new technology. Owner of a medical equipment company, Elise had recently purchased a new piece of equipment.
I had already done some research on face lifts, laser technology, Botox, and hydrolauranic acid injections as a matter of curiosity. I knew that radio frequency was a developing technology. The people at the salon informed that this third-generation radio frequency technology had recently been approved by the FDA in the United States and the owner was able to purchase a third-generation piece of radio frequency technology. The treatments are non-invasive, so I bought a package of treatments as a gift to myself for my birthday!
Best Birthday Ever!
Elise and her medical technician are fabulous. Elise has a well-trained eye to see what is going on with the face. Having been in the medical field for decades, Elise had done the research and has put her hands on the best equipment available today. With radio-frequency being FDA approved, it is noninvasive with zero downtime and immediate results! You can’t beat it–especially since the option of surgery is very expensive and also takes more courage than I have.
As embarrassing as these pictures are, I am thrilled to share them with you. If you have questions, set up a beauty consultation with Elise or her medical tech, to let them take a photo of your saggy face, not-so-pleasantly-plump belly, cellulite-riddled legs, or bat-wing arms. They will lovingly help you face the truth; and help you to reclaim some of your beauty and youth! (If you do not have any of these you are excused from here!)
Stay Committed to the Process
Radio frequency is not the quickest fix–surgery is. As you learn about the alternatives, we expect that you will realize the superiority of non-invasive face lifts. You may also want to watch the video that explains what this technology does. Be informed and then do it. Stay committed to the process by going the full round of the recommended 8 treatments–which cost about the same as one treatment in the United States or Europe! Drink ample water and eat a multitude of fresh fruits and vegetables, and collagen building foods; as this will rebuild your lost collagen. The time and care you invest in yourself during the eight-week process is worth the wait. Consider that you are simply stimulating your body to regrow collagen as opposed to the dangers of surgery, which involves cutting, and stretching, and invading the structural integrity of your skin.
